BBC Radio Reception Issues

The Communications and Utilities Regulatory Authority (CURA) is aware of a problem with the main feed to the Douglas (Carnane) transmitter which is affecting the reception of BBC Radio stations.  The fault has been logged and is due for repair today, Thursday 7th January 2021, but unfortunately current Covid19 restrictions may cause a delay to this repair.

In the interim, the transmitter is now operating on a backup system.  This has partially restored service, but some listeners may still find they receive poor reception until the fault is repaired.

Further updates and advice will be provided in the Latest News section of this website as they become available.  In the meantime we would like to thank affected listeners for their patience and understanding.
