ConsumerFurther to our previous post regarding a loss of service on BBC radio stations. Service has been resumed and stations should now be operational.

BBC Radio Stations in the IOM: Technical Issues on 21st July 2023

ConsumerThe Authority has been made aware that BBC Radio Channels may not be working for listeners. We have investigated this matter and have been made aware that there is an ongoing issue with the main transmitter located in Sansdale, Cumbria.
Unfortunately, the BBC's back up transmitter has also failed. The main (and back up) transmitters are currently being examined by the local electricity board.
The Authority is unable to provide a time as to when the faults will be fixed, and normal service resumed.
In the meantime Manx Radio, 3FM and Energy FM radio stations are all currently operational as is BBC Sounds.
The Authority will provide a further update in due course.

Ongoing Problem With Television Mast Signal: Glen Maye. RESOLVED

ConsumerFurther to our previous post dated 7th June 2023, The Communications and Utilities Regulatory Authority has today been notified that their is an ongoing problem with the mast in Glen Maye which is continuing to affect viewers in the area.
We have been advised that this matter is being investigated as a matter of urgency.
The Authority will issue a further update once we receive notification that the problem has been resolved.

Emergency Television Mast Works- : 12th June 2023 at Glen Maye

ConsumerThe Communications and Utilities Regulatory Authority has been notified of emergency maintenance work to the television mast at Glen Maye due to a transmitter fault. This will affect the reception on your television for a short time.
Please note that it is expected there will be a shutdown which will affect viewing for up to an hour.
The planned maintenance will take place between 10am - 4pm on 12th June 2023.
Further updates will be published if there are any changes to the works.

DAB Test And Trial Licence

ConsumerFollowing an approach from Manx Radio to test DAB on the Isle of Man the Authority has issued a Radio Multiplex Test And Trial licence which contains the conditions for this trial.
3FM and Energy FM may also take part in this trial.
