09/24: Notice Of Findings Network Incidents January 2024

The Communications and Utilities Regulatory Authority (the Authority) has completed its enquiries into network incidents that occurred in January 2024.

The Authority found that on these occasions Manx Telecom did not breach its regulatory obligations and no further investigation is required.

While no breach was found to have occurred, the Authority would expect Manx Telecom to proactively audit its network to ensure that alarms are configured for the relevant elements of its network. The Authority would also expect Manx Telecom to satisfy itself that automatic failover systems to rectify faults are periodically assessed for effectiveness.
