13/26: Response To Consultation Large Commercial Gas Customers

ConsumerThe Authority has published its Response to Consultation and Decision in relation to the gas tariffs that will apply to Regulated Commercial Consumers. The outcome of the process is that the average tariff for Regulated Commercial Customers will be 1.5p/unit below the Regulated All-Island Central Heating Tariff. The Authority is in the process of making Regulations to give effect to this Decision and will bring them before Tynwald for approval at the earliest juncture.

10/26: Information Notice : Investigation of Alleged Non-Compliance with Manx Radio’s Licence Conditions Relating to Speech Content

ConsumerFollowing a number of complaints and representations made to the Communications and Utilities Regulatory Authority (“the Authority”), the Authority is conducting an investigation to determine whether Manx Radio is meeting its regulatory obligations for speech content.

Kimmeragh - Mast Maintenance : Friday 24th April 2026

ConsumerThe Communications and Utilities Authority has been notified of upcoming electrical maintenance on the Kimmeragh mast on Friday 24th April 2026.
The work is being carried out by the MUA and is expected to take place between 9am to 4pm. It is expected that there will be a loss of service for the duration of the planned work window while the mains supply is interrupted.
Further updates will be published if there are any changes to the upcoming works.

08/26: Information Notice Public Service Broadcasting Licence Extension

ConsumerThe Authority has published Information Notice 08/26 confirming the extension of the Public Service Broadcaster (Manx Radio) Licence until 30 September 2026.
Following responses to its recent consultation, the Authority determined that while some issues are resolved, further consultation is needed to address remaining matters. The Authority is currently in the process of undertaking a further consultation to address remaining matters and to facilitate this, the PSB Licence has been extended.

01/26: Consultation on the Draft Information Memorandum for the Broadcasting Licence Award

ConsumerThe purpose of this Consultation on the Draft Information Memorandum for Broadcasting Licence Award (01/26) was to set out the preliminary details, processes and procedures the Authority will employ for the Auction and Broadcasting Licence Award.

30/25: Gas Tariff Review Information Notice

ConsumerFollowing the completion of the Annual Gas Tariff Review the Authority can confirm that there will be no changes to regulated gas tariffs in January 2026.
The next scheduled review is due to be carried out in June 2026.

29/25: Response To Public Service Broadcasting Licence Consultation And Decision

ConsumerThe Communications and Utilities Regulatory Authority has today published its Response to Public Service and Broadcaster Licence Consultation and Decision (29/25); this follows the Consultation on the Public Service Broadcaster Licence (01/25). Representations received outlined some issues where further clarity would be useful for all stakeholders, accordingly the Authority is going to hold a further consultation on those matters. These are related to quantifying the overall amount of Manx Gaelic content broadcast and the status of the Manx Radio Gold service as part of the Public Service Broadcasting remit.
